The 2012-2013 season of Tottenham Hotspur !

When Harry Redknapp left and the Portugese Manager André Villas Boas ( AVB ) came in the fans of Tottenham were not very happy and considering we had a worrying start to the season it didn't look like AVB would be at the lane for long. In the past AVB had been sacked by Chelsea and yet again this made the chances of doing well even smaller.

The start of the season was very bad for us considering we started with 1 loss ( Newcastle ) and 2 draws ( Norwich and West Brom at home ) and well... the fans of Spurs were furious and they took their anger out on AVB from giving him boos and singing nasty songs.

But then AVB, pulled his Blue and White army together and took Spurs on a great run and even bagging a win against the league champions Manchester United at Old Trafford!

By Christmas time we had an unbelieveable away record and we then carried on our form in January by taking a 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

The end of the season was not too far away and we were desperate for a place in the Champions League so we had to battle it out with North London rivals Arsenal and the boys from Stamford Bridge Chelsea. We should have been in a better position by April time but we dropped a few too many silly points, losing away to Wigan and conceding two late goals at Everton. Although, we bounced back with a great 3-1 win against Manchester City at home scoring 3 goals in 10 minutes ! I was at that game myself and I can assure you the atmosphere was incredible.

After Chelsea went clear and just managed to guarantee a 3rd place spot the battle came down to 2, Arsenal and Spurs. It all came down to the last game of the season! If both teams won Arsenal would get 4th but if we got 3 points and Arsenal didn't we would have had 4th but, unfortunately both teams won and Arsenal grabbed Champions League.

Overall, AVB had a great first season and we deserved Champions League football !!!
