Player Expectations for next year ! (Gareth Bale)

Sorry for the brief pause in the Player Expectations for next year series we faced some problems but thankfully we have resolved these and now to focus on our star man ...

Last year Gareth was easily the best player in the Barclays Premier League. He made his name
throughout the footballing world for his incredible performances. The skill and class he showed against the greatest defenders was unreal and whenever the opponents knew that they had to play against Bale they new that they were going to have an incredibly hard afternoon. This is why he is valued at over £100,000,000

To be honest even though I hate admitting this, I do not see Gareth Bale playing in the Blue and White of Tottenham Hotspur next year. However if he does then I expect him to have another season like he did last year and I expect him to show that he is just as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but if I am was to say that is what I expect from him then in all fairness I would be lying. If he does stay then I cannot see him being able to perform like he did last year. This is not because he is not capable of it, it is because he does not want to play at Spurs anymore so he will not be putting his heart and soul into every game.

Join us tomorrow where I will be talking about my expectations for our strikers next year !!!

Team expectations for the 2013/14 season - Crystal Palace

Team expectations  - Crystal Palace

Crystal palace earned their place in the premier league by doing well in the Championship last year and getting promoted. The main reason for doing so well last season was due to their star winger Wilfried Zaha who now plays for Manchester United, I believe he joined United of a fee around £20milliom which to a club like Crystal Palace is a lot of money!

Onto how they will do in the coming season,  I think Crystal Palace have a 75% of getting relegated this season unless they can do something great with that money. I know it's not loads considering a player like Gareth Bale could sell for five times that amount but I can definitely get them a couple of useful players.

What do we do IF Gareth Bale leaves Spurs?

As you may know according to reports Gareth Bale is close to leaving Spurs and joining Real Madrid but, the reason I blog about this especially and not any of the other many transfers is because it's not in anyway shape or form a normal transfer because if the transfer of Gareth Bale goes ahead it will be the most expensive transfer in football history! Gareth is valued at £100million by Spurs manager AVB and in many interviews other managers such as Laudrup, Ancelotti and even Arsene Wenger have agreed that Gareth is worth up to a whopping £100million. 100 million pounds could buy a club a whole new team and not a bad one either, I'm confident in AVB and Daniel Levy (club chairman) that if Bale goes they will make the most of the summer transfer window and sign some more players like they have done recently signing 3 great players; Paulinho, Chadli and Soldado !

No one knows exactly who AVB has his eyes on but I'm sure he has a wide range of possibilities if his prize possession does happen to leave the club.

Here are some of the rumoured targets and players I think would do the club well and achieve our targets:

Fabio Contraeo
Luis Suarez
Erik Lamela
Vlad Chiriches
Daniel Opare
Bernard
Luka Modric

You need to check my new blog on this subject today for my opinions on all of the players and I'll make sure you like it ! Remember, it's brilliant if you can comment your opinions on my blogs!

Soldado Transfer Completed !!!

This morning Spurs made an official statement saying "We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with Valencia for the transfer of Roberto Soldado subject to medical." This finally means that as long as Soldado passes the medical we finally have that World Class striker we have been looking for. The fee is £26 million which is the players release clause but was also believed to have been triggered a while back but the deal could not go through because of certain difficulties with the players agent.

I am so glad that we have a striker of Soldado's level at the club again. Since Berbatov left we have been missing a class striker and finally we have him. This deal may not only get us goals next year but could also tempt Bale to stay as it shows that Spurs have an intention to win. If Bale does stay the better Soldado will be, with Bale whipping in the balls we finally have that man who can win the header and put the ball in the back of the net. I cannot wait to see Soldado in a Spurs shirt.

Here's what to expect from our new signing !!!

Caulker leaves for Cardiff !!!

This came to a bit of a surprise to me as Tottenham Hotspur agreed to sell promising young centre back Steven Caulker to Cardiff City for a reported fee of £9 million which is Cardiff's transfer record.

The former Spurs player has already completed a medical and has agreed a four year deal. The Welsh side were reported interested in Steven Caulker but it seemed like they were going to find it extremely hard to get the player with Manchester City and Liverpool looking at the player but surprisingly they landed the young centre back but for a hefty price. After signing he said "I'm delighted to be here and excited for this fresh challenge.

To be honest I am disappointed we have let the youngster go, I think he has great potential and could become a legend but £9 million is too big an offer to refuse. I think he will do well at Cardiff as he will get regular playing time unlike if he was at Spurs where he will be on the bench for most of the time and I wish the best of luck to him and hopefully we will see him performing great in an England top.

Team expectations for next season - Chelsea

Chelsea have now have Mourinho as a manager... again!

Now Sir Alex Ferguson has retired from being a manager in football and Manchester United have a new manager, Chelsea are favourites to win the premier league !

In my opinion, Chelsea will be 2013/14 premier league champions and that would be great for them and a lot of Chelsea fans will be hoping Mourinho can do that for them!

So yeah... Chelsea should be hoping for 1st spot!

Team expectations for next year - Cardiff City

Cardiff City will be new to the premier league this season as they have just been promoted to the premier league after being the winners of the championship.

One player in particular helped Cardiff win the championship this season and that it is 31 year old centre half Hudson. I'm pretty sure Hudson will captain Cardiff in the premier league and I feel Cardiff are good enough to survive the premier league and I do not think they will get relegated!

Team expectations for next year - Aston Villa

Near the start of the transfer window it looked very bad for Villa as a few teams were keen to sign their main man and extremely good goal scorer Christian Benteke. It looked even worse when the godly striker put in a transfer request to speed up the chase and now Spurs were very close to signing Benteke and they started with a bid what was not quite enough so Spurs were to try again but... It wasn't to be, everyone was shocked when they found out Benteke had signed a new contract with Villa !

This news was amazing for everyone at Aston Villa because Benteke is very young and he has great potential so he will only get better and better. Aston Villa will hope for a top half finish next season and that would be a good position for them!

Team expectations for next year - Arsenal + Spurs

Tottenham and north London rivals Arsenal always have a competetive battle for a  champions league  spot and to be honest, Arsenal usually come out on top and this year Spurs missed out to Arsenal by just one point! This year I think that will change because Spurs have made a few great signings already and they also have back two of their best players - Sandro and Kaboul. AVB said this was like two amazing new signings now they're back from injury! Which I agree with, Sandro would have made a huge impact if he didn't get injured and arguably he looked even  more promising than the one and only Gareth Bale! Also Sandro is only in his early - mid twenties so he is just getting better and better, Kaboul is also a very good player Spurs missed out on this season and being one of the fastest and strongest centre-backs in the game the two would have made a huge impact and maybe pushed us to 3rd spot ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal! Spurs look more promising so far as Arsenal have failed in all their attempts of signing players accept one (Sanoga) which to be honest is not a major signing! So on transfers Spurs are definitely in the driving seat and the Spurs team looks better than Arsenal! I think Spurs will finish 3rd or 4th this season if everything goes to plan and at this rate, Arsenal 4th, 5th or even 6th!

Player expectations for next year ! (Andros Townsend)

Last year Andros went on loan to relegated QPR. Here he impressed with his ability to run past players at incredible pace and he was able to make brilliant direct runs and his final product wasn't too bad. He also done well at Spurs when he had the chance but he didn't receive them often.

I expect Andros to become a great winger in the years to come but I am not too sure he will be a first team player come the new season and I think at most he will be on the bench. His running ability with the ball is excellent and cannot be faulted however its getting the ball out of his feet. He is a greedy player who rarely passes when he should and instead tries to shoot. This is what he needs to work on and learn when and where he should distribute the ball.

Player expectations for next year ! (Nacer Chadli)

We don't know much about Chadli as he is a new signing from FC Twente. While at Twente he played out on the left and was a very fast player who would take on defenders and ultimately he scored a few goals.

I expect Chadli to be a first team player next year and take Bale's position out on the left and Bale would push into the middle. Due to Chadli's past stats I expect him to score around 8-10 goals next year and I also expect him to set a few up as well. At Twente he was a very skilful player and despite the quality of defenders in the Premier League I still expect him to take on defences and with him and Lennon being our two wide men I think many teams will struggle with the pace and skill.

Player Expectations for next year ! (Aaron Lennon)

I was very impressed with Aaron Lennon last year and I thought that he deserved much more credit than he got. In my opinion he was just as important to Spurs as Bale last year, he gave Spurs the width and pace down the right hand side and he worked brilliantly all year and I thought it was his best season in North London last year.

I expect Aaron Lennon to have an equally good season next year and be a first team player and also hopefully he will get more time in the England squad which he deserves but doesn't get. The only thing I expect Lennon to work on is his final product. On certain occasions he will make an excellent run through the opposition but deliver a poor cross or take a poor shot however I must say that his crossing has improved a substantial amount but his finishing not so much. But I think this is due to Lennon not being a greedy character who would rather pass the ball than take a shot.

It looks like Soldado is soon to be a yido !!!!

Roberto Soldado has been one of Spurs' top targets this transfer window we finally look like getting the Spaniard. Earlier this week Franco Baldini travelled to Spain hoping to agree a deal but it didn't happen as Valencia wanted the whole £25.8 million that is needed to trigger his release cause and Baldini was not prepared to do this and the deal looked over.

Yesterday Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic admitted that Soldado is on his way out and it is believed that Spurs have agreed to pay the total amount of £25.8 million. Soldado is expected to arrive in London soon to have a medical and finalise personal terms.

I am very happy we have agreed all of our transfers early on which is a rare sight for Levy and Tottenham. I think that signing the players early gives them more time to bond together which can only be a good thing. I think Soldado will be a great addition to the team and is sure to score us the goals we have been desperately looking for.
