Spurs ahead of kick off !

Etienne Capoue returns to the Tottenham Hotspur line-up in the Europa League today after returning from injury.
The French midfielder, who joined the club in the summer, sprained his ankle in the defeat to Arsenal at the beginning of September and returns to the team for the visit of FC Sheriff in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Under-fire club record signing Erik Lamela is also included as is striker Jermain Defoe. Goalkeeper Brad Friedel is also in the starting line-up as number one stopper Hugo Lloris recovers from the much publicised head injury he picked up in last Sunday’s draw at Everton.
On Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker are survivors from that game as boss Andre Villas-Boas looks to rotate his squad ahead of the Premier League game against Newcastle at the weekend.

Spurs starting XI: Friedel, Naughton, Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Dembele, Capoue, Eriksson, Lamela, Sigurdsson, Defoe

Spurs news today 04/11/13

Quotes

Here are some quotes from headway charity regarding the Hugo Lloris concussion incident in the goal less draw with Everton yesterday.

"By continuing to play, the player may have caused greater damage to his brain.
"He should have been removed from the game immediately and taken to hospital for thorough tests and observation

What happened you may ask?

Hugo Lloris was injured in a collision with Romelu Lukaku that left him prone and apparently unconscious.
With his team-mates clearly disturbed, Tottenham’s medical staff rushed to the goalkeeper and decided that he was not fit to continue.
After receiving nine minutes of treatment, however, Lloris defied club doctor Shabaaz Mughal and captain Michael Dawson, both of whom pleaded with him to leave the field, and stayed on.
The French international was praised after the game by manager Andre Villas-Boas for his attitude, but the decision was described as "irresponsible" by brain injury charity Headway.
A spokesman for the charity said: "We are hugely concerned that a professional football club should take such an irresponsible and cavalier attitude to a player's health.

Jan Vertonghen

Jan Vertonghen expresses his desire to play at centre-back instead of left-back and that he feels like a stopgap.

Arsenal to join us in the race to sign Alexandre Pato.

Line-up and what I think of the front three tonight

So the line-up for tonight is:

Lloris
Naughton
Chiriches
Vertonghen
Fryers
Sandro
Dembele
Eriksen
Lamela
Defoe
Lennon

This is a great starting 11, especially attacking wise. For our attack we have Lennon who is returning from injury tonight and tonight he will show his pace and have an impact on the game. I hope lennon can get some crosses in tonight and create some play for the right wing.
Lamela is very likely to score tonight as he hasn't done yet and he needs to prove to us he is worth the 33million we paid for him, that is why I think he will have a huge impact on the game tonight. Also, there is Defoe who is very desparate to make his way into the England team and feature in the World Cup next year and has had a huge impact on the Europa league so far and he is of course going to keep that up tonight with at least 1 goal.

New Christian Eriksen song

lyrics-

Eriksen, sen, sen; Came to play for AVB.
To the left to the right; He’s our midfield Dynamite.
When he plays for the Lilywhites; He makes Özil look shite

Tottenham Hotspur vs Tromso

1-0 goal to none other than Jermaine Defoe, he scores on his second chance at goal and amazing finish calmly chipped over the goalkeeper aster 20 minutes of play.

Lamela looks hungry for goals.

Sigurdsson looks hungry for goals.

Danny Rose looks hungry for goals.

Defoe looks hungry for goals.

Sandro looking good in the middle.

4-0 at a bare minimum is my guess but could easily be more.

Kaboul nearly scores from corner just wide half volley.

Danny Rose - Tottenham Hotspur

This post is going to be about Spurs left back Danny Rose.

Rose is a very young player and I'm sure the reason AVB chose him this year ahead of Assou-Ekotto because is because of the potential Rose has. £86m player Gareth Bale was once in the shoes  of Danny Rose as a young Spurs left back who could bomb up and down the wings taking on players and always getting back and winning the ball back with his great strength.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rose scores a few goals in the premier league this season and he has already picked up one great goal in the Europa league.

I don't think we have a left back problem.

Starting line out against Tromso

Here's our team for today - Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Rose; Dembele, Sandro; Lamela, Holtby, Sigurdsson; Defoe. Come on you spurs

Spurs News Today

Danny Rose is good enough as a first team player and is looking to prove to Spurs fans he is up to the standard and has had a great start to the season, can he keep it up?

Emmanuel Adebayor has reportedly ask Spurs to buy him out his contract!

Spurs could bid on El Sharaawy in January.

AVB may use the side that faced Norwich again after he said it worked so well and our passing made Norwich physically exhausted!

Tottenham could battle it out with Chelsea and Arsenal to sign Spanish striker Fernando Llorente in January.

Erik Lamela's 18 year old brother was held hostage by armed gunmen on Friday night but is this the reason Lamela didn't start yesterday's game against Norwich?

Match Review With A Twist - Spurs Vs Norwich - Midfield

Here is how the team started:

Lloris
Walker
Dawson
Vertonghen
Rose
Paulinho
Dembele
Townsend
Eriksen
Sigurdsson
Soldado

The team today had two extremely good options for creativity today ( coming from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Christian Eriksen )  and having them two in there certainly worked  very well as Sigurdsson scored two goals and also created many chances. Eriksen also played a huge part in the team today grabbing one assist and earned my personal choice of man of the match and I'm just thinking on a whole Spurs fans should be so excited for what is to come with the 21 year old! I also noticed that in todays match Eriksen took set pieces trying to earn himself some more assists and helping the team the put the ball in the back of the net. It is obvious them two have a great partnership and work well together.

Paulinho was very solid in the centre of midfield today running himself ragged and appearing box to box and playing a huge part in the win today and I'm very happy with his performance. Paulinho picked up a crucial assist today and I am sure his goal tally by the end of the season could reach double figures!

We also had Townsend bombing up there causing trouble having shots and creating chances! I feel Lamela may of also made the starting 11to maybe put goals in!

Possible starting 11 - Spurs - EP.7 - Class

This team is another suggestion for AVB :

                                                                 Lloris

                Walker            Kaboul            Dawson         Vertongen          Rose

                                                       Paulinho  Eriksen

                              Lamela                                                      Townsend
                                                             Soldado

Possible Starrting 11 - EP.6 - Central team

Personally, I don't like this team but I made it for fun. Here it is:

                                                                     Lloris
                                        Chiriches             Kaboul            Vertongen
                                                        Sandro            Capoue
                                                                   Paulinho
                                                 Eriksen                         Dembele
                                                             Defoe   Soldado

Thursday, 5 September 2013

Possible Starting 11 - EP.5 - You will either love or hate this team

Here is todays team and it's a different one, take a look:

                                                                                Lloris

                                     Kaboul                     Dawson /Chriches                      Vertongen

                                                                  Sandro           Paulinho

                  Lamela                                                                                                         Townsend

                                                                             Eriksen

                                                      Soldado                                  Defoe

I have gone with a 3-5-2 team which I think would be a great squad for AVB to play and I think it will be very successful.

Tuesday, 3 September 2013

Possible starting 11 - EP.4 - something different

This time I am going for a different approach and an effective one at that and it involves all our current players. Here's the team :

                                     Lloris.
     Walker.      Vertongen.        Kaboul.        Rose.
                                   Paulinho.
              Lamela.                              Townsend.
                                    Eriksen.
                          Soldado.      Defoe.

So, I would love the master AVB to play this team and I think it would be amazing.

Spurs new today ! Worth a read !

The date for our third round of the capital one cup against Villa has been confirmed! The game will be played on Tuesday 24th September and the game will kick off at 7:45pm!

Very, very weirdly Spurs have out in an offer to Chelsea as a straight swap with Emmanuel Adebayor and Fernando Torres.

Paulinho is said to be the fifth best premier league signing of the year!

Stay tuned to our twitter @SpursHQ_ for more !!!

Don't let the NLD loss get to you!

Right, I'm not saying we should not be upset and annoyed about the loss to the scum because it is a great, great shame but don't let it destroy your faith in the club as we look like a much, much brighter side than the scum and I'm very sure we will finish above the scum.

Here's why, Spurs have brung in so many great talented in players including some of the best in the world such as Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Christian Eriksen and Paulinho! These players will be in our first team for sure and when they have played together lots in training and work well as a team we are going to be one of the best teams in the league and compete for the league title!

This will be our best season for a long time and I'm sure we will got 75+ points.

Possible starting 11 - EP.3 *Best one yet*

This is a great, great team ( probably the best yet and it includes our very new signings what have happened in the last two days.

                          Lloris.
Walker.  Chiriches.   Vertongen. Contrao.
                       Paulinho.
     Lamela.                          Townsend.
                 Eriksen. Dembele.
                       Soldado.

I think that team is probably the best team we could hope for now unless due to personal preference you could change Chiriches with Dawson or Kaboul and of course put in Danny Rose if Fabio Contrao doesn't sign. If you wanted to be really hopeful you could hope Gareth Bale stays and put him in the team in replace of Andros Townsend!

Keep tuned to our twitter account @SpursHQ_

Possible Starting 11 - Spurs - EP.2

Here is team number 2:

                          Lloris
Walker.    Dawson.   Vertongen.  Contrao
                   Sandro
                            Paulinho
                      Dembele
    Lamela                            Townsend
                       Soldado

This team is probably my favourite team and I feel there is a huge, huge chance we could sign Lamela and Contrao as Lamela is meant to be announced in the next couple of days and Contrao will not be needed at Real Madrid and Madrid would be happy after the signing of Bale and Modric and they will be generous and sell Contrao to us.

Anyway the team is much like the Kay but this one is better as Lamela replaces Chadli and Contrao replaces Rose for more pace, skill and creativity! They would be a great pair and I would be over the moon if we were to complete the deal.

Possible starting 11 - Spurs - EP.1

This is a new series for our Spurs blogs where I list 11 Spurs players or possible signings we may make before the deadline and I will make loads of different teams and we will have to wait and see if any of them come into action next season! So here is the first team -

                            Lloris.

Walker.  Dawson         Vertongen.  Rose.

                          Sandro.

                         Paulinho.
Townsend.                            Chadli.
                         Dembele.

                          Soldado.

This is the first team and in this team I have involved only players who are currently in the Spurs team so this team could definitely be used! It involves our first choice goalkeeper Lloris, a great back four which will be very successful next season, a solid Sandro in front of the defence, Paulinho being a box to box central midfielder, Townsend and Chadli on the two wings and Dembele playing just behind striker Soldado!

Come back for EP. 2 later today and you will see some potential signings making the 11!

Keeping players happy.

Over this window I have been thinking, how are we going to keep all these attackers happy and play them often?

We have a huge range of attacking players and here are a list of the players in our squad who play or sometimes play up in attack and also attackers we are likely to sign :

Holtby
Sigurdsson
Dembele
Soldado
Chadli
Townsend
Lennon
Bale
Willian
Kane
Defoe
Adebayor
Lamela

Ok I may have missed one or two but the point is we can only play around 4 of them players a good amount of time every week out of the thirteen players listed which gives me the reason to wonder how the hell are we going to fit all these players in and why do we need so many? I really don't know why we signed Chadli, why we have kept Adebayor, Holtby and Lennon. I suppose Harry Kane doesn't need to be counted as he is not a first team player, Lamela and Willian haven't signed but there's a good possiblity they could join and ok Bale could be on his way out. I think we need around 7 of these and mine would be - Lamela, Townsend, Willian, Soldado, Dembele, Defoe and Sigurdsson as first team attackers!

Liverpool vs Stoke match review

The first game of the season was a brilliant one and it was enjoyed by everyone watching.

Liverpool absolutely dominated this game right from the first whistle until the final whistle!

Liverpool had many, many chances; including hitting the bar once, a disallowed goal and some other good chances on goal.

The two goalkeepers Simon Mignolet and Begovic were on another level, Mignolet made around 5 great saves including one penalty save and even the rebound! We all like a keeper that can pull off quick double saves. And for Begovic - the man of the match in this game well, he was even better than Mignolet making more saves but letting in one great strike from Daniel Sturridge. Although, Simon Mignolet did make a few mistakes including the one where he basically set up Robert Huth for an open goal where he unfortunately for him hit the bar!

So this extremely eventful game finished 1-0 to Liverpool and the win was deserved!

What will happen for Tottenham next season

End of the window -

I feel Spurs are in a very good position right now and even if our squad stays the same I would still be more than satisfied with our progress in the transfer window. Although, I'm very sure Levy and AVB will sign more players and I'm sure they will bring the best out of us, also, another reason that backs my point that we will get even better and make more progress is that AVB stated himself : " The squad is not finished and it will take until the very last day to complete the team".

Gareth Bale -

In my opinion, our star man Gareth Bale despite all the rumours and the tenptation to swipe £100m from Real Madrid we won't sell Gareth as he is just too crucial to our team to sell for any price but the main reason is again due to something said- this time from Levy and he insisted he will not do business when Gareth Bale is involved. Although Gareth may miss the first game(s) when he comes back and gets back into that Spurs shirt he will make a huge impact on the team, just like last season.

Objectives -

Obviously our main objective, Champions League. One we missed out on last season but are really dedicated to conpleting. I'm sure if we can get 75 points, what I know we can- we will finish 3rd in the table and qualify.

So, as mentioned before I think we can manage to get 75 points with the new talent brought in and the big, big  money going out this could be our season!

I also think we can have a good cup run in a domestic cup and my way bet is the FA cup and in my opinion, we can win the FA cup in the upcoming season.

Awards -

Star man - Gareth Bale
Top goalscorer - Roberto Soldado
Best defender - Jan Vertongen
Biggest Improvement from last season - Kyle Walker
Fan favourite - Sandro
Disappointment - Nacer Chadli
Most assists - Gareth Bale
Most consistent - Jan Vertongen

Summary -

Obviously I might be totally wrong with the awards of course but that is just my opinion.

Overall,  I feel Spurs will have one of their best seasons for a while and beat their record again that was beaten last year with 72 points, lets hope we can get around 75 this year.

Spurs could win the Barclays Premier League 2013/14

This blog will feature Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Manchester City FC, Chelsea FC and Manchester United FC.

It is going to be about the events of last season, what has happened in the transfer window and what the changes have been. I will include what I think will happen for each team next season and why others will finish infront of others.

Let's start by saying what will happen with Tottenham. Spurs have got a real good chance this season and have already signed 3 almost 4 players and they can all only make the team better than it already is and Spurs have also got back two vital players back they missed out on last season due to injury ( Kaboul and Sandro ). Besides the fact Spurs have an outstanding first team for next season and it will be hard for any team to beat their competition they have to come up against are at a disadavantage, the reason for this is that the teams finishing ahead in previous seasons haven't made nearly as much transfer progress.

Arsenal for example, they have not spent a penny this window and have hardly improved at all over this window and that is great news considering they are our main rivals and knowing we have more chance at this season than them is great because it narrows down the teams that could finish above us next season.

Almost in exactly the same situation as Arsenal is Manchester United but this window they haven't stayed the same or made progress but they have gone down hill... the reason for this is losing the heart and soul of their team Sir Alex Ferguson and after all those years at Old Trafford everyone knows United will never be the same. Sir Alex is the main issue but obviously aswell as that they haven't signed many significant players and again this puts Tottenham at an advantage over Arsenal and United.

Onto Chelsea, a team that has improved from last season as former manager Jose Mourinho rejoins Chelsea and we all know what happened last time Mourinho bossed Stamford Bridge, he was amazing and he brang the best out of Chelsea and showed he was one of the greatest managers in the world. With one of the greatest managers in the world Chelsea were a brilliant team and the league title was what they were after but ever since he left they have been signing new managers non-stop and they have just not been as successful. On the other hand, Chelsea haven't signed as much players as they should be and everyone knows they have been wasting all their time trying to sign United striker Wayne Rooney.

The other two options City and Liverpool, let's start with Liverpool a team that really weren't contenders for anything last season but have massively improved and signed some good players. I predict they will finish 6th this season and that finish is good considering recent years for Liverpool. City, the rich team from Manchester have improved significantly since last year splashing the cash and making their team incredible, they also have a chance at the title next season.

Overall, I feel Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool cannot get the league title this season and in my opinion it will end like this;

1 - Chelsea
2 - Manchester City
3 - Spurs
4 - Manchester United
5 - Arsenal
6 - Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur vs Espanyol Match Review !

This was Spurs' last pre season game before the start of the season and to be fair more positives came out of the result that negatives despite a rather poor result. It was a very exciting day at the lane where Soldado, Paulinho and Chadli all appeared in front of the Tottenham fans in North London but that wasn't the only excitement because fan favourites Younes Kaboul and Sandro made their long awaited come back from injury.

We started extremely well and in the first five minutes we should have been one up. A Gylfi Sigurdsson free kick found Paulinho's head who headed the ball into the corner but was denied a dream start to his Spurs career as the offside flag went up when it arguably shouldn't have. Spurs kept up the pressure with Soldado looking extremely dangerous. After 29 minutes of excellent football we were finally rewarded a penalty when Danny Rose was taken down in the box by Javi Lopez. Soldado stepped up and put the ball right into the corner, he couldn't have asked for a better first thirty minutes for his new club. But the tempo slowed down after the goal and Espanyol who were kept in their own half in the first thirty minutes were allowed to push forward. The lack of defensive players was visible and they looked quite dangerous going forward. Just before half time Espanyol managed to get the equaliser from a corner where David Lopez was able to head the ball into the near post. The second half saw the return of Kaboul and Sandro but despite a near winner from Andros Townsend the substitution of the two was the biggest excitement of the second half.

Overall I was very impressed by the performance of the team especially in the first half. Chadli really impressed me with his great skill and in my opinion he was the man of the match. Paulinho was denied a dream start to his Spurs career but nevertheless he still performed excellently and definitely looks to be a great signing but out of the three new signing the one that excited me the most was Soldado. He looked extremely dangerous and has already scored at the Lane. He is what I think we were missing last year and now that we have him I think if we keep Bale we can challenge for the title, the football played yesterday was great and it proved a real difficulty for Espanyol to defend against and in my opinion I can see us challenging at the top with that style of football. But yesterday also proved some things we need to work on. The defending from corners was atrocious and we were lucky to only concede once from a corner and the final thing that needs to be worked on is the defence. Yesterday I was not comfortable watching Fryers and Dawson at the back and I think that another defender is desperately needed before the end of the transfer window. Next stop Crystal Palace.

Man united recent news

Manchester United FC - 07/08/13
Manchester United have given up their chase for Barcelonas Cesc Fabregas as they have been rejected twice and have moved on to Evertons Marouine Fellaini, Fellaini played for Moyes before whilst Moyes was at Everton and he played very well so it's obvious Moyes would want him to play for him again! United would have to pay up to £24m. It looks possible United may do a deal of Anderson + cash for Nani.

Left midfielder at Man United could be close to joining Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of around £8m. This move would be much more likely if Bale left the lane and Nani could be part of a replacement.

Nemanji Vidic has been out for a while due to injury and he is aging on now being 31years old, Vidic wants to get more appereances for United under his best so he would love to be a regular next season

What we do if Bale goes Pt.2 - What I think of our transfer targets !

Fabio Contrao -

Yes, I would love to see Contrao at Spurs! And to be honest if Bale leaves I can see it happening in one of these two ways ; a player and cash deal or buy him with the money made from Bale. The reason I would like Contrao at Spurs is because we are in a situation where the left back spot is a weak link as it looks like AVB is going to give the position to young boy Danny Rose who in mybopinion, is not quite strong enough for the premier league yet and with Contrao it would be one of our strongest positions as he can bomb it down the wings and whip balls in aswell as being able to run back and defend!

Luis Suarez -

Wow wouldn't Suarez be a good replacement of Bale? He can score just as many goals as him and even more as he showed last year in a Liverpool shirt with a grand total of 30 goals in the season. Spurs may attempt to buy Suarez with the money they get from selling Gareth if it goes ahead which would be around £100million and they could take Suarez for around half of that amount, which is still a lot of money and I do wonder if Levy would be up to spending that much money!

Erik Lamela -

Erik Lamela would be a replacement winger for Bale if he left and Lamela is a very young player and he likes to show off his skills in game! Erik Lamela will be one of the players we would turn to straight away if Bale left which we all hope doesn't happen and we would have to pay around £35million for the young Roma star!

Bernard -

Bernard is another young player this time Brazilian and he is a very, very fast player who could also replace Gareth on the wings! We actually put in a £15.7 million bid for Bernard but we actually pulled out for a reason I'm not sure of and I can only guess it's because of money as we have already payed around £51million this window and no one knows if there's more AVB and Levy have their eyes on!

You can follow our Google+ on the side of the page and is a great addition to our blog. This will allow you to see all of our published blogs and is a great way to see all of our new and old blogs.

Player Expectations for next year ! (Roberto Soldado)

We recently signed Soldado from Valencia for around £26 million so it is hard to now what to expect from him in the Barclays Premier League but based on his past career in Spain this is what I expect from him in a Spurs kit.

The fans of the Tottenham Hotspur have been desperately wanted a top class striker as we never really got a replacement for our last one Dimitar Berbatov and in my opinion AVB and Levy could not have brought a better striker. Last year in La Liga, Soldado scored 24 goals and had the second best conversion rate just behind Lionel Messi but beating Cristiano Ronaldo. He is an out and out goalscorer and will guarantee you a goal. I expect hims to score 20+ goals next year and I think he is what we were missing last and if we can keep Bale I think he will turn Tottenham Hotspur Football Club into title contenders.

Player Expectations for next year ! (Jermain Defoe)

In my opinion last year was the beginning of the end for Jermain Defoe. He didn't receive a lot of game time due to various reasons and when he did he didn't seem his normal self. He didn't seem to be the finisher we have always seen, he seemed to not take his chances as well and didn't show the same determination. Despite this he did at points show some brilliance.

Their has been strong links to him moving to QPR and re-uniting with old gaffer Harry Redknapp and with the departure of Loic Remy to Newcastle looking more likely by the second it wouldn't be a surprise to me if Defoe moves to the Championship side. I expect him to find it hard to get a first team place with the signing of Roberto Soldado and I think that he is getting on a bit and will find it hard to keep on playing at the top level.

Player Expectations for next year ! (Adebayor)

Adebayor ... well where do I start ? Last year Adebayor was terrible in my opinion. He could not score to save his life and the Striker that was at Spurs in the 2011/12 season who scored 17 goals had gone missing. He scored only 5 goals which is in my opinion appalling and is only one more goal than our centre back Jan Verthongen.

Their has been speculation around Adebayor leaving North London for Besiktas but only if they manage to lose their european ban for match fixing so therefore I do not expect Adebayor to leave however I hope he does. Adebayor needs to work on his attitude and his positioning next year if he is to win over the Tottenham fans again. Last year he always seemed to be out of position and was never there to be a target man and when he did get in the right position he never worked hard enough to get the ball. Even if he improves in these areas I do not see him being a starting player but only a bench warmer for Jermain Defoe and Roberto Soldado.

Team expectations for season 2013/14 - Everton

Team expectations - Everton

To be honest, I'm sure Everton will never be the same without the terrific manager that is David Moyes because he done so well for them and I just don't think anyone else can do that with Everton. If Moyes stayed my prediction for Everton would be 6th or 7th but now under Martinez I predict 9th or 10th despite them having some great players such as Leighton Baines and Marouine Fellaini who both looked likely to go with Moyes to Machester. In my opinion, Everton will start out not too good but they will get better for Roberto Martinez and show that they're a very strong side like they did under David Moyes!

Player Expectations for next year ! (Gareth Bale)

Sorry for the brief pause in the Player Expectations for next year series we faced some problems but thankfully we have resolved these and now to focus on our star man ...

Last year Gareth was easily the best player in the Barclays Premier League. He made his name
throughout the footballing world for his incredible performances. The skill and class he showed against the greatest defenders was unreal and whenever the opponents knew that they had to play against Bale they new that they were going to have an incredibly hard afternoon. This is why he is valued at over £100,000,000

To be honest even though I hate admitting this, I do not see Gareth Bale playing in the Blue and White of Tottenham Hotspur next year. However if he does then I expect him to have another season like he did last year and I expect him to show that he is just as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but if I am was to say that is what I expect from him then in all fairness I would be lying. If he does stay then I cannot see him being able to perform like he did last year. This is not because he is not capable of it, it is because he does not want to play at Spurs anymore so he will not be putting his heart and soul into every game.

Join us tomorrow where I will be talking about my expectations for our strikers next year !!!

Team expectations for the 2013/14 season - Crystal Palace

Team expectations  - Crystal Palace

Crystal palace earned their place in the premier league by doing well in the Championship last year and getting promoted. The main reason for doing so well last season was due to their star winger Wilfried Zaha who now plays for Manchester United, I believe he joined United of a fee around £20milliom which to a club like Crystal Palace is a lot of money!

Onto how they will do in the coming season,  I think Crystal Palace have a 75% of getting relegated this season unless they can do something great with that money. I know it's not loads considering a player like Gareth Bale could sell for five times that amount but I can definitely get them a couple of useful players.

CM - Fernandinho £30million

ST - Stevan Jovetic £22million

What do we do IF Gareth Bale leaves Spurs?

As you may know according to reports Gareth Bale is close to leaving Spurs and joining Real Madrid but, the reason I blog about this especially and not any of the other many transfers is because it's not in anyway shape or form a normal transfer because if the transfer of Gareth Bale goes ahead it will be the most expensive transfer in football history! Gareth is valued at £100million by Spurs manager AVB and in many interviews other managers such as Laudrup, Ancelotti and even Arsene Wenger have agreed that Gareth is worth up to a whopping £100million. 100 million pounds could buy a club a whole new team and not a bad one either, I'm confident in AVB and Daniel Levy (club chairman) that if Bale goes they will make the most of the summer transfer window and sign some more players like they have done recently signing 3 great players; Paulinho, Chadli and Soldado !

No one knows exactly who AVB has his eyes on but I'm sure he has a wide range of possibilities if his prize possession does happen to leave the club.

Here are some of the rumoured targets and players I think would do the club well and achieve our targets:

Fabio Contraeo
Luis Suarez
Erik Lamela
Vlad Chiriches
Daniel Opare
Bernard
Luka Modric

You need to check my new blog on this subject today for my opinions on all of the players and I'll make sure you like it ! Remember, it's brilliant if you can comment your opinions on my blogs!

Soldado Transfer Completed !!!

This morning Spurs made an official statement saying "We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with Valencia for the transfer of Roberto Soldado subject to medical." This finally means that as long as Soldado passes the medical we finally have that World Class striker we have been looking for. The fee is £26 million which is the players release clause but was also believed to have been triggered a while back but the deal could not go through because of certain difficulties with the players agent.

I am so glad that we have a striker of Soldado's level at the club again. Since Berbatov left we have been missing a class striker and finally we have him. This deal may not only get us goals next year but could also tempt Bale to stay as it shows that Spurs have an intention to win. If Bale does stay the better Soldado will be, with Bale whipping in the balls we finally have that man who can win the header and put the ball in the back of the net. I cannot wait to see Soldado in a Spurs shirt.

Here's what to expect from our new signing !!!

Caulker leaves for Cardiff !!!

This came to a bit of a surprise to me as Tottenham Hotspur agreed to sell promising young centre back Steven Caulker to Cardiff City for a reported fee of £9 million which is Cardiff's transfer record.

The former Spurs player has already completed a medical and has agreed a four year deal. The Welsh side were reported interested in Steven Caulker but it seemed like they were going to find it extremely hard to get the player with Manchester City and Liverpool looking at the player but surprisingly they landed the young centre back but for a hefty price. After signing he said "I'm delighted to be here and excited for this fresh challenge.

To be honest I am disappointed we have let the youngster go, I think he has great potential and could become a legend but £9 million is too big an offer to refuse. I think he will do well at Cardiff as he will get regular playing time unlike if he was at Spurs where he will be on the bench for most of the time and I wish the best of luck to him and hopefully we will see him performing great in an England top.
